Jen Ottepka Photography

Originally from Alloway, currently living in Mays Landing, I am a photographer, artist, and author with a passion for animals and wildlife. It is my mission, through my artwork, to share an appreciation and love of all creatures big and small.

The magical journey of my craft begins with meticulously handcrafted miniature sets and props. I then photograph live small animals as they interact within these scenes. The result is a truly surreal experience. Whether it is mice playing baseball, hamsters baking in the kitchen, or the natural splendor of South Jersey wildlife, each photo is completely genuine without the use of AI-generation or software manipulation.

By combining my love of photography and crafting, I carefully handcraft my photos into functional and decorative works of art. These include 3-D mixed medium shadowboxes, handcrafted wood coasters with photo inlay, resin sealed wood wall art, mixed medium key
chains and necklaces, as well as canvas prints, mugs, and calendars. I am also proud to offer my handcrafted miniature children’s book. This inspirational story encourages perseverance and determination to reach for the stars. Featuring unique photos and original artwork, each
small book is handmade individually.

With the opportunity to present my art, it is my pleasure to offer a live demonstration of the unique process in which I work as my traveling display is carefully designed to engage curious viewers of all ages.
